Herkunft, einfach erklärt: Vor dem Euro bezahlten die Leute in Deutschland mit der D-Mark. Der Groschen war eine Münze, die ungefähr 0,10€ wert war. Die Leute bezahlten mit Groschen an Automaten. Das war sehr laut. Man musste lange warten, bis der Automat die Münze akzeptiert. Bei einer „dummen“ Person muss man auch warten, bis diese etwas versteht.Origin, explained simply: Before the euro, people in Germany paid with the D-Mark. The penny was a coin worth about 0.10 €. The people paid with pennies at vending machines. That was very noisy. You had to wait a long time for the vending machine to accept the coin. When dealing with a a “stupid” person, you have to wait as well for them to understand something.

Die Erklärung der Herkunft war kompliziert und schwer zu verstehen.
