Heute möchte ich mit dir über etwas reden, ohne das Deutsch lernen unmöglich ist. Du kannst machen, was du willst, aber ohne diese essentielle Zutat wirst du nicht weit kommen.Today I want to talk with you about something without which learning German is impossible. You can do what you want, but without this essential ingredient you won’t come far.

Es ist vollkommen egal, welche anderen Hilfsmittel du benutzt und welche Methode du anwendest. Man braucht nämlich auch eine bestimmte Einstellung, wenn man eine Sprache lernen will.It doesn’t matter at all which tools and which method you use. You see, you also need a certain mindset when you want to learn a language.

Es ist mir sehr wichtig, dass du tatsächlich in nicht allzu langer Zeit fließend Deutsch sprechen kannst! Deswegen möchte ich diese Einsicht mit dir teilen, sodass du deinem Ziel näher kommen kannst.It is very important to me that you will actually be able to speak German fluently in the near future! Der Schlüssel zum ErfolgThe Key to Success

Nun gut, ich will dich nicht länger auf die Folter spannen: Du brauchst definitiv konsequentes Commitment. Du musst bereit sein, regelmäßig zu lernen.Very well, I don’t want to keep you in suspense any longer: You definitely need consistent commitment. You have to ready to regularly study.

Wenn man eine Sprache lernen will - oder irgendein Ziel im Leben erreichen will - dann braucht man unbedingt Commitment. Man muss sich selbst dazu verpflichten, auch tatsächlich an seinem Ziel zu arbeiten - von nichts kommt nichts!If one wants to learn a language - or reach any goal in life - then he or she absolutely needs commitment. You have to commit to actually work on your goal - nothing will come of nothing!

Ich habe den Fehler gemacht, nicht regelmäßig zu lernen. Nach zwei Monaten Pause hatte ich mehr als die Hälfte wieder vergessen. Ich möchte dich vor demselben Schicksal bewahren.I have made the mistake of not studying regularly. After a two months break I have forgotten more than half. I want to protect you from the same fate.

Wie engagiert bist du?How Committed Are You?

Viele Menschen sehen ihre Ziele wie eine Wunschliste. “Es wäre schön, wenn ich Deutsch sprechen könnte.”, sagen sie sich. Aber wie viele Leute lassen ihren Worten Taten folgen?Many people view their goals like a wishlist. “It would be nice if I could speak German.”, they say to themselves. But how man people let action follow their words?

Jetzt denkst du vielleicht, “Ja, klar! Das weiß ich doch schon! Das mache ich doch!” Aber meine Frage an dich ist: Lernst du wirklich regelmäßig Deutsch?Now you might be thinking, “Of course! I already know that! I do it!” But my question to you is: Do your really study German regularly?

Ich möchte dich mit diesem Post dazu ermuntern, dir dies klar zu machen und dich wirklich zum Deutschlernen zu verpflichten. Wie viele Minuten möchtest du jeden Tag damit verbringen, Deutsch zu lernen?I want to encourage you with this post to bring this to your mind and to commit really yourself to learning German. How many minutes do you want to spend each day learning German?

Wie du noch effektiver werden kannstHow You Can Become Even More Effective

Ich selber verbringe jeden Tag dreißig (30) Minuten damit, Italienisch zu lernen. Dies mache ich seit mehreren Monaten. Dies ist meiner Meinung nach auch, was notwendig ist.I myself spend 30 minutes every day learning Italian. I have been doing this for several months. This is also what is necessary in my opinion.

Aber falls du weniger lernst oder — schlimmer noch — unregelmäßiger lernst, dann würde ich dir stark empfehlen, mehr zu lernen. Denn sonst hast du die große Frustration, dass du jahrelang Deutsch lernst, aber die Sprache nie fließend sprechen kannst.But if you are studying less or — even worse — more irregular, then I want to highly recommend to you to study more. Because otherwise you have the big frustration of learning German for years, but can never speak the language fluently.

Hier ist mein Tipp: Lerne immer zu gleichen Zeit. Bei mir ist das kurz nach dem Aufstehen: 6:45 bis 7 Uhr ist in meinem Tagesplan fest für das Lesen von italienischen Texten reserviert. Am Nachmittag schaue ich dann nochmal 15 Minuten lang YouTube videos.Here’s my tip: Always learn at the same time. For me, this is shortly after waking up: 6:45 to 7 o’clock is firmly reserved for reading Italian texts. In the afternoon I also watch 15 minutes of YouTube videos.
